Our home of Sri Lankan hospitality in the north features 44 rooms – the majority of which are Deluxe Rooms, followed by four Family Rooms and four Suites. Capitalising on the convenience of our location, North Gate by Jetwing is able to accommodate a variety of accommodation requests with rooms available in twin and double configurations, as well as an exclusive room designed especially for the differently – abled.

Every room is fitted with a private balcony that looks over the city of Jaffna and beyond, while the modern interiors have been inspired by the rustic earthen tones that complement the waters of our peninsula. This elegance extends to every corner of our rooms, including the bathrooms – which feature a luxury rain shower and a range of complimentary amenities. Location

The north of Sri Lanka rests upon a historic peninsula connected to the rest of our island by a series of lagoon causeways. Aptly named, North Gate by Jetwing is conveniently located next to the Jaffna Railway Station – the main entry point to the north by train. Daily services are operated between the peninsula and the capital of Colombo, including the iconic Yal Devi, which arrives here in the afternoon. For added convenience, the bus terminus and adjoining market are also located a short drive away.

Of our 55 rooms are available in double or twin configurations, five of which are interconnecting and three which are specially equipped for the differently abled. Please note that Jetwing Jaffna is unable to provide accommodation and meals for drivers at this time.

A fiery blend of spices and colourful dishes feature are a staple of our main restaurant, creating an entire experience in itself – and one not to miss in the northern capital of Jaffna! During the light of the day, you can opt for a traditional lunch complete with an array of exotic curries that pays tribute to the original thali often consumed on fresh banana leaves, while the famed Jaffna crab curry could be the centerpiece of your dinner, accompanied by a selection of rice, thosai, string hoppers, pittu, and more.
