JH Villa is a former Portuguese colonial estate on a beautiful hilltop site overlooking the Indian Ocean and only a 5-minute stroll from JH Beach House.

Our 6 rooms and suites can be taken individually or the villa in its entirety for parties of up to 12, serviced 24/7 by attentive staff. Although a private estate, JH Villa is run as a boutique hotel with each detail of your stay taken care of.

The three-acre private estate perfectly reflects the essence of Sri Lanka: bounded by a trickling stream, palm-fringed, canopied by birdsong, a playground of monkeys and peacocks. Emerald lawns give on to the sands of a fabulous coral beach.

The jewel of this private paradise is a magnificent 15-meter infinity swimming pool, flanked by its own pavilions. Here, with its sunset views, you can truly attain a state of mindfulness taking you outside time’s ever-onward march.

King-size four-poster bed with mosquito net. The suite has a very spacious sitting room that opens onto a large private verandah. The sitting room has a large day bed that can comfortably accommodate a third guest. There is also a possibility for a fourth guest under the age of 12 (additional beds are subject to an extra charge). The bathroom is stunning with a walk-in shower and free-standing bath, over-looking the jungle nature outside.

Dining

JH Villa is a stunning private home and to take the property exclusively to share with family and friends is an absolute luxury. Such a treat to have the house, grounds and beautiful swimming pool to yourself. Not to mention JH Beach House, right on the ocean and only a few minutes’ walk or short tuk tuk ride from JH Villa. Your own spot of sand.

Our chef will tailor-make a menu each day, dependent on what is fresh at the market and following your tastes. He has received some incredible feedback so far (see reviews) and our whole team, headed by our General Manager Warne, will look after you beautifully.

There are many places you can dine across the property and we will also organise reservations at the best restaurants in the area, should you wish to head out and explore.

We run the JH Villa like a luxury boutique hotel where your every need is taken care of. Service has always been a key element, as well the little details that will make your stay truly memorable.

This spectacular fully staffed property sits in the hills, a short 15-minute drive from the beaches of Ahangama and set on its own 80 acre estate. The design and interiors are fresh and beautiful, inspired by the traditional setting of Sri Lankan tea plantations.

The house comprises two main suites but can also be configured to sleep up to seven, with 3 doubles and one single all with en suite bathrooms.  There is a large infinity pool as well as a plunge pool in front of one of the rooms.

There is an indoor sitting room as well as a large open sided sitting/eating area which benefits from the hilltop breeze and extensive views over the plantation, rice paddy and private lake.   Off season it is possible to rent just one of the suites. The house is fully staffed.

Ishq Talpe is informal, homely and bespoke. Family owned, the villa takes its name from the Arabic word for love and passion. Located along Galle’s ‘French Riviera’, Ishq is a five-bedroomed luxury villa that first came to be in the 1990s, a part of the original fabric of the island’s first luxury villas designed by the renowned architect Bruce Fell-Smith. Today, the villa marries a love for clean design with oceanic hues and brings together all the comforts of a boutique hotel with the privacy and exclusivity of a private villa.

Our five ocean inspired suites are beautiful, spacious and made for families, friends and couples. All suites take from contemporary south Asian design and blend seamlessly into a Coastal Sri Lankan setting; features include king sized bedding, plenty of storage space for adults and children, private garden patios, en-suite double indoor and outdoor rainwater Showers framed against exotic and fragrant frangipani trees, right down to miniature sized bedding and furnishing for junior travelers and a private outdoors jacuzzi lounge, with views across the garden and ocean beyond.
